All 3 replacement filters from FiltersFast exhibit difficulties. Poor water flow and squeal from inside the fridge. Replaced new filter with old one and all is fine. New filters are several on the insert - old ones had one particular sizeable hole with many tiny holes about it. New ones have one particular substantial hole and two slotted holes on every side. All three new ones are lousy. Takes 45-60 seconds to fill a typical 8oz glass. Not acceptable. Known as GE directly who said no alter has been produced to product line. Purchased two extra in town, one particular from Sears, one other from HH Gregg. Each have the exact same design as the new ones from FiltersFast and are also lousy.

I reside in the Tucson, AZ area and our water is quite difficult. I test my water frequently out of the tap and it shows 240. I test the water out of my R/O system and it tests at 22. The water coming out of my ref with the GE filter which comes from the R/ system is 20. I have the cleanest water in our neighborhood. The only concern I had was the GE filter took a couple of months to get back to "standard" testing range. When I fist installed it, the water tested at 40. Now that it is back to "standard" I'm pleased. Also the set up was quick - reading the uncomplicated directions took longer that the set up. You just twist off the old 1 and twist on the new 1 and then run about five gallons by means of the system.
